Afghanistan, April 26 -- The Afghanistan consulate in Karachi has announced that 63 Afghan citizens detained by the police in the Sindh province of this country have been released.

The consulate reported the release of these Afghan citizens on Thursday, 25th April, through a statement.

According to the statement, the detained individuals were members of five families, including women and children.

According to the statement, these individuals were detained on Monday, by the rangers of this country without "just cause" and were held in Obaro Police Station in the Ghotki district of Sindh province.

This comes amid an increase in the deportation and detention of Afghan refugees from Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey in the past month.
