Afghanistan, Jan. 29 -- A representative of Coca-Cola in Belgium has announced that the company is recalling its beverages from certain European countries due to the presence of high levels of the chemical compound "chlorate."
According to international media reports, all Coca-Cola products are being removed from the markets in Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Luxembourg.
Reports indicate that the level of chlorate in beverages such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, and several other brands has significantly exceeded the permissible limit.
