Afghanistan, Feb. 15 -- Starting May, China will grant tariff-free access to goods from 53 African countries to boost trade, investment, and economic cooperation across regions.
State media reported that imports from 53 African countries maintaining diplomatic relations with Beijing will enter China without tariffs starting in May next year.
Previously, tariff exemptions were granted only to 33 least-developed African countries, but the new policy significantly broadens trade access for more economies.
According to a report by Reuters, the decision forms part of broader efforts to expand economic cooperation agreements between China and African partners.
