China's state-run television has announced that the country's new advanced drone, capable of releasing 100 smaller drones simultaneously, will undergo its first test flight in the coming days. Named "Jiutian" (meaning "Nine Heavens" in Chinese), the drone is part of China's efforts to enhance its air combat capabilities and belongs to the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).
