Afghanistan, Feb. 11 -- Fu Cong, China's Ambassador to the United Nations, said on Monday during a Security Council meeting that ISIS and several other terrorist groups are active in Afghanistan and are collaborating with each other. He emphasized that these groups could pose a threat to regional and global security.

The Chinese Ambassador also mentioned the presence of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and the East Turkestan Movement (a Uyghur Islamist group from China) in Afghanistan.

He called on the Taliban government to take "concrete and specific actions to eliminate terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan."
