Afghanistan, Feb. 15 -- Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said in an interview with The Globe and Mail that Ottawa wants political change in Iran before restoring diplomatic relations.
Speaking during the Munich Security Conference, she declined to comment on whether Canada would support any potential U.S. military action against Tehran.
Canada, which severed diplomatic ties in 2012, recently imposed fresh sanctions on seven individuals linked to Iranian authorities as pressure continues to mount.
The remarks come as officials cited by Reuters reported that the Pentagon is preparing for possible military scenarios involving Iran in coming weeks.
