Afghanistan, March 11 -- Armed militants attacked a train in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province on Tuesday, taking over 450 passengers hostage and injuring the train driver. The attack occurred in the remote Sibi district, known for its volatility.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the assault, stating that gunmen bombed the railway track before seizing control of the train. According to Muhammad Kashif, a senior railway official in Quetta, the passengers remain trapped, with no immediate resolution, AFP reported.
