Afghanistan, Dec. 3 -- Australia's special envoy held talks with UN-Habitat officials to discuss Afghanistan's growing urban challenges and explore long-term sustainable solutions amid rising humanitarian concerns.

Australia's special envoy to Afghanistan, Daniel McGregor, met this week with Stephanie Loose, a senior official from the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), to discuss Afghanistan's rapidly changing urban landscape and humanitarian needs.

UN-Habitat Afghanistan said on Wednesday the talks focused on long-term resilience, sustainable urban solutions, and how to support Afghan cities facing growing pressure from population movements and economic decline.
