Afghanistan, Feb. 4 -- Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong announced that her government will provide 50 million dollars in new humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan to support vulnerable communities nationwide.
She stated on Tuesday, February 3 that the funding aims to help Afghan families cope with the ongoing humanitarian and economic crisis affecting livelihoods across both urban and rural areas.
Wong emphasized the assistance will strongly focus on supporting women and girls while also strengthening food security programs for millions facing hunger during harsh winter conditions.
