Afghanistan, Nov. 17 -- At least seven Afghan migrants were killed and several others injured in shootings by Iranian border forces in Saravan, southeastern Iran, rights group reported.

At least seven Afghan citizens were killed in shootings by Iranian security forces in Saravan, southeastern Iran, rights group Hal-Wash reported on Sunday. Several others were reportedly injured in multiple ambushes by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and border patrols.

According to the organization, both light and medium-caliber weapons were used in the attacks. The victims were migrants attempting to enter Iran illegally. Their identities have not yet been released.
