Afghanistan, Feb. 11 -- Reports indicated that a passenger bus in Guatemala has fallen into a valley near the capital, resulting in at least 51 fatalities.
Reuters news agency reported that the bus, which was traveling from the city of San Agustin to the capital, plunged from a high bridge into the valley on Monday, February 10th.
Carlos Hernandez, a spokesperson for the Guatemala City Fire Department, stated that the bodies of 36 men and 15 women were sent to a provincial morgue established for the victims of this incident.
Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo declared three days of national mourning following the tragedy and called upon the country's military and disaster agency to assist the victims' families.
