Afghanistan, Nov. 13 -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said at least 42 migrants are feared dead after a boat capsized off Libya's northwestern coast.

In a statement on Wednesday, the agency said the vessel sank near the Al-Bouri oil field, an offshore facility in the Mediterranean, and no trace of the missing passengers has been found six days after the incident.

According to the IOM, the boat was carrying 49 people, of whom only seven have been rescued so far. The migrants were reportedly from Sudan, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Somalia.
