Afghanistan, June 21 -- At least 35 Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers' gunfire in Gaza, raising serious humanitarian concerns amid ongoing regional violence.

At least 35 Palestinians were killed on Friday after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians gathered to receive humanitarian aid in central Gaza. According to medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital, most of the victims were waiting in line for food when they were shot.

Witnesses told Al Jazeera that those hit by gunfire had been gathered at an aid distribution center. Many of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment as emergency services struggled to cope with the sudden influx of casualties.
