Afghanistan, Jan. 7 -- Ariana Airlines has purchased two aircraft engines from Turkey and Serbia worth $4.7 million, aiming to strengthen operations and install them on Boeing 737 and Airbus 310.

Ariana Airlines said it has purchased two aircraft engines worth $4.7 million from Turkey and Serbia to strengthen its technical operations.

The airline said on Wednesday that the engines were transported from Turkey to Kabul and have already arrived in the country.

According to the company, the engines will be installed and commissioned in the near future by Ariana's technical teams on Boeing 737 and Airbus A310 aircraft.
