Afghanistan, March 20 -- An American citizen has been released from Taliban custody after two years of detention.
Following the visit of the American delegation to Kabul, Zalmay Khalilzad, the former U.S. special representative for Afghanistan, announced that Georg Glezmann, an American citizen, was freed after two years of Taliban detention. Khalilzad stated that the Taliban agreed to release Goldsman as a "gesture of goodwill" towards Donald Trump and the people of the United States.
Khalilzad wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Today is a good day. We succeeded in obtaining the release of an American citizen, Georg Glezmann, after two years in detention in Kabul. The Taliban government agreed to free him as a goodwill gesture to @POTUS and...
