Afghanistan, Jan. 29 -- Afghanistan's women's cricket team is set to reunite after more than three years for an exhibition match in Australia, symbolizing resilience and resistance against restrictions on women's rights.
Cricketer Firooza Amiri stated that her team will represent millions of Afghan women who have been denied their rights as they reunite on Thursday, January 30, for an exhibition match in Australia after more than three years, AP reported on Wednesday.
The report indicated that Afghanistan Women's XI will face Cricket Without Borders XI at Melbourne's Junction Oval. The game will bring together 21 female players who were previously part of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) before the Taliban takeover in August 2021.
