Afghanistan, May 6 -- Afghanistan exported over $15 million worth of carpets in 2024, mainly to Pakistan, the U.S., Germany, India, and the UAE.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that Afghanistan exported carpets worth over $15.2 million in the year 2024. The ministry reported that a total of 6,632 metric tons of Afghan carpets were shipped abroad during this period.

According to Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesperson for the ministry, these carpets were exported to a wide range of countries, including Pakistan, Australia, Iran, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, India, Canada, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.
