Afghanistan, Sept. 24 -- Ministry of Public Health reported Thursday, that out of 188 samples, 25 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 109,469 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 5,100 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, Nine individuals have recovered from COVID-19 and Five individuals have died.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 11, Herat Nine, Badakhshan Two, Balkh 3.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 39,170, Total deaths are 1,451 and the total recoveries are recorded 32,619.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 31,887,485 and the dead are reported more than 976,789.
