Afghanistan, Sept. 16 -- Ministry of Public Health reported Tuesday that out of 161 samples, 40 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 107,593 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 4,916 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 405 individuals have recovered from COVID-19 and 10 individuals have died.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are Two, Herat 12, Wardak Three, Badakhshan One, Kandahar One, Dykundi 10, Balkh 11.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 38,855 Total deaths are 1,436 and the total recoveries are recorded 32,503.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 29,477,183 and the dead are reported more than 933,490.
