Afghanistan, Jan. 25 -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) assigned teams at the Hamid Karzai International Airport on Saturday to check passengers for coronavirus who reach Kabul with international flights.

The officials at the MOPH said that due to the neighborhood status of Afghanistan and China and dozens of Afghans traveling between Afghanistan and China is a source of concern for the country.

"Considering the fact that Afghanistan shares a border with China, the Ministry of Public Health has started an awareness program and it has also activated a surveillance and reporting system," the public health ministry's spokesman Nizamuddin Jalil said.
