Afghanistan, July 15 -- Afghan migrants in Iran can now seek help through their embassy to reclaim rental deposits (rahni) amid widespread deportations.
Iranian authorities have announced measures to help Afghan migrants recover house deposits (rahni) that landlords have refused to return, especially in the wake of ongoing deportations.
Nader Yarahmadi, Director General of the Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs Department at Iran's Ministry of Interior, stated on Monday, July 14, that Afghan migrants who were evicted or deported without receiving their rental deposits can pursue the matter through Afghan embassies and consulates in Iran.
