Afghanistan, Feb. 16 -- Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi departed for Geneva to participate in the second round of nuclear negotiations with the United States.

Iran's foreign ministry confirmed talks will take place Tuesday, with negotiations conducted indirectly through mediation led by Oman.

During the visit, Araghchi is also expected to meet Swiss and Omani officials as well as representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The first negotiation round was held in Muscat about ten days ago, where both sides agreed to continue diplomatic engagement despite persistent political tensions.
