Afghanistan, Nov. 13 -- Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said 754 Afghan prisoners were released from jails in Iraq and Pakistan this week and returned home safely.

754 Afghan prisoners have been released from detention facilities in Iraq and Pakistan this week, officials from Afghanistan's Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said.

According to the ministry's statement on Thursday, November 13, the released individuals returned via the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar and the Silk Bridge in Nimroz province.

Of the total, 725 Afghans had been imprisoned in Pakistan for about two months, while 29 others were held in Iraq for between five and nine months.
