Afghanistan, Aug. 19 -- In less than eight months, Iran has executed 46 Afghan nationals amid a surge in executions, raising concerns over due process, human rights, and growing international criticism.
A human rights organization reported on Monday, August 18, that Iran has carried out at least 800 executions in less than eight months of 2025, averaging around 100 per month. At least 46 Afghan nationals were among those executed.
