Afghanistan, Feb. 17 -- Police in Pakistan detained 35 undocumented Afghan migrants during inspection operations conducted over the past week in the city of Peshawar.
According to Samaa TV, authorities carried out 41 search and inspection operations across the city as part of efforts to identify undocumented foreign residents.
Police also detained 233 additional suspects during the operations, and officials say legal proceedings have been initiated against individuals suspected of violating residency laws.
Meanwhile, nearly 100 Afghan migrants were released from detention centers in Karachi and returned to Afghanistan in recent days.
