Afghanistan, Nov. 21 -- The World Food Programme says 3.5 million children in Afghanistan face severe malnutrition as shrinking aid operations and winter conditions intensify the humanitarian crisis.

The World Food Programme (WFP) said 3.5 million children in Afghanistan are currently suffering from malnutrition, warning that the country's worsening humanitarian conditions are leaving millions at risk.

In a post on the social platform X, the agency said it is working to support Afghan children through a range of food-assistance programmes, despite mounting operational challenges.
