Afghanistan, Feb. 8 -- Hamas has released three Israeli civilian hostages in exchange for 183 Palestinian prisoners. The hostages were handed over to the International Red Cross in the fifth round of the ongoing hostage and prisoner exchange process.

According to Arab media reports, this round of the exchange took place successfully on Saturday, February 8. The three Israeli hostages freed include Or Levi, 34, Ehud Ben Ami, 56, and Eli Sharabi, 52, who were captured by Hamas during the October 7 attack.

In return, Israel released 183 Palestinian prisoners, including 18 individuals sentenced to life imprisonment, as per the previous agreement. These prisoners are expected to return to Palestine today.
