Local sources in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces report that three Ismaili men have been killed by armed assailants in the past month. In the latest incident, one victim was shot dead last night in Fayzabad city. Two days earlier, another man was killed in front of his family, highlighting a disturbing pattern of targeted attacks.
