Afghanistan, Sept. 24 -- At least 28 local policemen were killed in a Taliban raid in Uruzgan, local

Officials confirmed to the press Thursday.

Zergai Ebadi, Uruzgan Governor Spokesman, said that following the attacks

the situation rapidly turned worst, which made some ANDSF to tactically

fallback from their positions, and some checkpoints remained besieged under the

Taliban.

Reports indicate the attacks occurred in Gizab district of Uruzgan province.

According to Ebadi, After the 28 local police surrendered to Taliban

insurgents, they were killed while in captivity.
