Afghanistan, Oct. 14 -- A 26-year-old Afghan man convicted on drug-related charges has reportedly been transferred to solitary confinement in Iran's Isfahan prison ahead of execution.
A 26-year-old Afghan prisoner, identified as Hazrat Ishaqzai, has reportedly been transferred to solitary confinement in Isfahan prison for the execution of his death sentence, according to human rights group Haalvsh.
The rights group said Ishaqzai, a native of Afghanistan's Farah province, had been convicted on drug-related charges by Iran's Revolutionary Court three years ago.
He was arrested in Isfahan and later sentenced to death for alleged narcotics offenses. His transfer to solitary confinement on Monday indicates his execution could be imminent, the...
