Afghanistan, March 8 -- A 26-year-old Afghan man was injured by gunfire from the police and later died in a hospital in Magdeburg, Germany. The police reported that they were called to an apartment in the Schonbeck residential complex in the south of Magdeburg after receiving information that the young Afghan man had threatened a German national with a knife.

The police added that, as a result of the incident, they shot the Afghan man, who was later taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Authorities have stated that the cause of the incident remains unclear, and an investigation is underway.
