Afghanistan, June 17 -- Twenty-one Arab and Muslim nations have condemned Israel's strikes on Iran, calling for de-escalation and peaceful resolutions to the conflict.

Twenty-one Arab and Muslim countries issued a joint statement condemning Israel's airstrikes on Iran. The statement called for regional de-escalation, nuclear disarmament without selectivity, and respect for international law, as reported by Egypt's official news agency MENA.

The statement resulted from an initiative by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, who consulted with his counterparts across the region.
