Afghanistan, June 2 -- Over 2,000 Afghan child laborers and their families have been deported from Iran amid rising concerns about migrant children's welfare.

Mohammad Nasiri, Director-General of Welfare in Tehran Province, announced that over the past year, approximately 2,000 Afghan child laborers and their families have been deported from Iran. According to Nasiri, around 4,200 child laborers were identified in Tehran during the same period, with 86% of them being Afghan nationals.
