Afghanistan, Feb. 14 -- Authorities in Turkey arrested 18 Afghan migrants trying to cross illegally into Europe near Edirne, transferring them later for deportation processing procedures.
Border forces said the migrants were detained during an operation targeting people attempting irregular crossings toward European countries through land routes.
Officials confirmed that, after administrative procedures were completed, the detainees were transferred to migration centers for deportation processing.
Police stated that operations against irregular migration and human smuggling networks continue without interruption across key border areas.
