Afghanistan, Nov. 13 -- An explosion killed or wounded at least 12 Taliban militants in South-eastern Ghazni province, the Afghan military said.

According to a statement released by 203rd Thunder Corps, an improvised explosive device went off among Taliban militants in Nazar Khan area of Andar district.

The statement further added that the explosion killed 4 Taliban militants and wounded at least 8 others.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.

Taliban militants often use improvised explosive devices to target the security forces and government officials.

However, roadside bomb explosions often inflict casualties on ordinary civilians.
