Afghanistan, March 8 -- Twelve Afghan citizens have been released from prisons in Pakistan's Sindh province and have returned to Afghanistan, authorities confirmed.

Abdul Jabbar Takhari, the Taliban's Consul General in Karachi, states that 12 Afghan citizens have been released from prisons in the Sindh province of Pakistan.

Takhari added in a message that these individuals were released on Friday, March 7, and have returned to their country.

He further mentioned that the number of Afghans in the prisons of Sindh province in Pakistan has now decreased.

Takhari pointed out that in the past three months, 64 Afghans, including two women and five children, have been released from the prisons of Sindh and returned to Afghanistan.
