A tragic maritime accident occurred off the coast of Indonesia's Mentawai Islands on Monday, July 14, when a passenger boat carrying 18 people, including 10 local government employees, capsized in the stormy waters of western Sumatra. The incident has left 11 people missing, prompting an extensive search and rescue operation.
