Afghanistan, Feb. 25 -- Pakistani security forces have announced that 10 militants were killed in an operation targeting a hideout of insurgents. The operation took place in the Bagh area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the Associated Press, the operation occurred on Monday, February 24, but the military has not provided details on the identities of those killed. Operations against the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are carried out sporadically in the region.

The presence and activities of TTP in the province have increased in recent months. Islamabad accuses the Taliban administration of supporting this group, though the Taliban has denied any cooperation with TTP.
