ANANTNAG, June 30 -- To contain the flow of local tourists to health resort Pahalgam that has picked up from last one week, authorities in view of covid 19 have decided to strengthen the check points and stop all the tourist activities.
After the government eased lockdown restrictions imposed four months ago to contain the spread of covid 19, locals mostly youngsters from various areas of the valley from last week started visiting the tourist spot to get relaxed in fresh air. Even as the hotels and restaurants remain closed at the tourist spot, visiters, according to locals and some tourist officials prefer to erect tents on the banks of Lidder river and other green pastures for night stay.
