SRINAGAR, June 25 -- Senior journalist and editor of Urdu daily Afaq, Ghulam Jeelani Qadri was arrested by the police during raid at his home last night in connection with a 27 years old case. He was today granted bail by the court.
Qadri, 62, according to police was served with a warrant by the TADA court for allegedly not cooperating in investigation in a case registered against him and others way back in 1992. He was later arrested during raid at his residence at Bal Garden last night and was lodged at Shaheeed Gunj police station.
Family of the senior journalist and Editor Afaq according to reports was told by the police that he was arrested in connection with almost three decades old case and will be produced before the court today....
