ANANTNAG, Dec. 10 -- The government medical college Anantnag is without magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) facility forcing the patients to either go to Srinagar hospitals or private diagnostic centers.
The medical college in Anantnag started functioning earlier this year from district hospital Anantnag. Besides district hospital, two other hospitals maternity and child care hospital (MCH) and Sub-district hospital Bijbehara were brought under the administrative control of the medical college.
The college being made functional had raised the hopes of locals about the improvement in healthcare in the district. However nearly a year after the medical college started functioning, it has no MRI facility.
