SRINAGAR, Oct. 22 -- Nearly 4.5 lakh government employees working in the existing state of Jammu and Kashmir will now get salaries and are entitled to avail several benefits from October 31 as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The government is set to spend Rs 4800 crore tentatively on the various allowances which will benefit all the Central government employees. The union home ministry has issued orders in this regard.
