ANANTNAG, March 18 -- Unidentified gunmen today shot dead a youth in Tral area of Pulwama district.
Police said he was killed by militants.
Officials said that the gunmen appeared in Reshipora village of Tral and fired a volley of bullets on a 25-year old youth identified as Mohsin Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani outside his home.
The youth, soon after being shot, was evacuated to sub-district hospital Tral where he succumbed to injuries.
"The youth died as soon as he was brought to the hospital. He had received bullet in the neck," said an official posted at SDH Tral.
Local sources said that the youth, besides doing farming at home, was also working as a labourer.
