JAMMU, Sept. 30 -- With a spike of 975 new cases and 20 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, J&K's COVID-19 count reached 75479 on Wednesday.

As per the reports, this includes 17017 active cases and 56872 cured and discharged patients. With 20 more deaths, the toll due to the disease has reached 1266 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir continues to be the worst affected by the pandemic with 353 new cases and 184 deaths. However, Srinagar the summer capital of J&K remained on second spot 173 new cases and 292 deaths.

Among the cases, official told that 568 cases were from Jammu division and 407 from Kashmir valley.
