SRINAGAR, July 10 -- Two persons including a ward member died while cleaning a well in ChalgundHalmatpora area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district this afternoon.
Reports said that two persons died inside a well and later were retrieved by a joint team of Police, SDRF and locals at ChalgundHalmatpora village.
They said that they fell unconscious while cleaning a well at Ganai Mohalla in Halmatpora following which a police team was rushed to the spot. "Later the duo were retrieved by a joint team of police, SDRF and locals after hectic efforts."
The deceased have been identified as Ghulam Nabi and Mahad Ganaie-both the residents of ChalgundHalmatpora. Ghulam Nabi was also a ward member.
