Srinagar, Jan. 25 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of initiating the move to bifurcate the erstwhile state, responding to a senior BJP leader's remarks advocating a united Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah was responding to BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh's statement that the party stands for a fully united Jammu and Kashmir, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). "It is good that he said this, but the idea was started by the BJP itself," the Chief Minister told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
