The two-day Bird Festival 2025 was successfully organised at Wular Lake by the Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WUCMA) in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora, with a strong focus on bird conservation, biodiversity awareness and promotion of sustainable eco-tourism.

The festival brought together ornithologists, conservation experts, students from various colleges, wildlife photographers, nature enthusiasts and members of local communities from across the region, creating a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing and environmental engagement.
