Srinagar, Dec. 27 -- Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday paid rich tributes to the revered Sufi saint Sultan-ul-Hind Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) on his 814th Urs, calling his life and mission a shining chapter in the spiritual history of the subcontinent.

In a message posted on X, the Mirwaiz said Khwaja Chishti (RA) played a historic role in spreading Islam through spirituality, compassion and selfless service to humanity. He said the saint's teachings were not just religious, but also human, rooted in love, equality and dignity for all.
