Srinagar, May 31 -- In observance of World No Tobacco Day, the Director of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Prof. Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, on Saturday said that the institute will launch a well-structured programme against smoking and other social evils.

Speaking to the media, he said that tobacco use remains one of the leading preventable causes of death. SKIMS is committed to spearheading awareness and outreach initiatives, and as part of this commitment, a structured campaign will be launched to combat smoking and associated social issues.
