Srinagar, Oct. 20 -- Indian Army personnel stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector marked Diwali by lighting diyas, distributing sweets, and joining local residents in traditional rituals.
The celebrations highlighted the bond between the troops and the communities living near the border.
Despite harsh weather and freezing winds at high altitudes, soldiers continued their regular duties, guarding strategic points along the LoC. Many of them spend around nine months each year away from their families, yet observed the festival together as one unit.
